BEN LAURENCE RAGAN
Ben Laurence Ragan, known by his friends and family as “Larry,” has experienced God’s work firsthand in more than 50 countries around the world. Larry, founder of CULTURELink, began his international mission work in 1986 when he traveled to the South Pacific. Since then, he has led and/or overseen more than 250 international teams, many of which have been focused on prayer, professional exchanges, teaching English, Christian outreach, building projects, AIDS relief, disaster assistance, hunger relief, and more. As a result, many believers have been mobilized for full-time global involvement.
After completing studies in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and earning a M.A. in both Cross-Cultural Ministries and Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, he served as the World Missions Pastor at two Atlanta area churches. Larry also serves as a trainer for Perspectives on the World Christian Movement (www.perspectives.org). Larry and his wife, Karen, have served as missionaries with Grace Ministries International in Budapest, Hungary.
In the first ten years of CULTURELink’s existence, Larry and his team of trainers equipped more than 2500 short-term team leaders from over 500 different churches to properly disciple teams to impact the nations for Jesus Christ. Larry believes that he has been called to “disciple those who will make disciples of all nations.”
Larry also served for eleven years as a teaching pastor at North Metro Church in Kennesaw, Georgia. He currently ministers full time, training and consulting with CULTURELink and serving as an itinerant speaker, both nationally and internationally, for churches, Campus Crusade for Christ, YWAM, and many other organizations.
Larry lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife, Karen, their two children, a dog, three cats, and one frog. The animal count does shift daily!
Ryan Hurlburt has served as the Program and Communications Coordinator with CULTURELink since 2011. Prior to CULTURELink, he was the director of teams for another mission organization. Ryan has served on and led multiple teams to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Hungary, Ireland, Nicaragua, Kenya, and Romania. Through the years, Ryan has developed a specialty niche with youth teams, but has also lead teams of mixed ages. In fact, he has discipled teams as small as 8 and as large as 80 members.
Regardless of ages or size, Ryan’s laid-back leadership strategically develops servants to impact the globe. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Ryan and his wife, Katharine, have lived in Atlanta, Georgia since 2009. They welcomed their first child into the world, Asher, in September 2015. Ryan is a graduate of Trinity College of Florida and has been a trainer with CULTURELink since he came on board in 2011.
Paul Bowley serves as the Church Relations and Partnership Development Coordinator for CULTURELink. Paul grew up in Peachtree City, Georgia and graduated from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. His career path has included a variety of ministry roles including leading worship and serving in donor relations at Wellspring Living. Paul’s ministry experiences have taken him to Canada, Jamaica, Malaysia, and India.
Paul loves walking alongside others as they discover how God has uniquely created them to serve in His Kingdom and fit into His purposes. Paul is eager to serve local churches and our international partners, identifying how God has specifically equipped them to fulfill the Great Commission.
He and his wife Lindsay live Woodstock, Georgia with their two dogs that pretend to be small bears.
